Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Fant, a former first-round pick in 2019, hasn't made the jump to stardom through his first six seasons, but he's been a reliable target so far. He's coming off a season in which he recorded 500 yards and a touchdown for the Seahawks.
Seattle's decision to release Fant saved $8.91 million against the salary cap since he was due a non-guaranteed salary of $8.49 million in 2025, per Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times.
Now, Fant will field offers from around the league as he looks to find his next team.
While he'll likely make a few visits before he makes a decision, landing with the Bengals wouldn't be a bad option. Though Cincinnati has missed the playoffs in each of the last two seasons, the Bengals consistently put together one of the best offenses in the league, led by star quarterback Joe Burrow.
Star receiver duo JaMarr Chase and Tee Higgins would still be the focal point of the receiving games, but Fant could split reps with tight end Mike Gesicki and perhaps end up having a career season.
Still just 27 years old, Fant has plenty of potential to bolster an offense, and that potential has led to him getting plenty of interest. Which team will be able to make him the right offer remains to be seen.
