
Aliyah Boston, Fever Lose to Breanna Stewart, Liberty with Caitlin Clark Out Injured
With star guard Caitlin Clark out, the Indiana Fever put up quite a fight.
A double-double from Aliyah Boston was not enough to lift Indiana to victory, but it did keep the team in striking distance with a 98-84 loss to the New York Liberty.

The Fever trailed by one after the first quarter but then surged to a 46-42 halftime lead. However, a 59-38 advantage for New York in the second half willed the Liberty to a key victory.
Boston had 15 points and 12 rebounds to secure the double-double while also adding six assists and two steals. She shot 7-of-13 and logged 30 minutes in the defeat.
Other notables for Indiana included Kelsey Mitchell, who scored 29 points, while Sophie Cunningham had 15 and Natasha Howard had 13.
The Liberty were led by a starting five that all chipped in double figures in the scoring department. Jonquel Jones contributed 18 points, Breanna Stewart had 17, Leonie Fiebich had 17, Sabrina Ionescu had 13 and Natasha Cloud had 10. Isabelle Harrison also scored 13 off of the bench.
The Liberty improved to 16-6 with the win while the Fever fell to 12-12. Indiana will next be in action on Thursday against the Las Vegas Aces.
