Tyreek Hill Posts Behind-the-Scenes Video of Race With Noah Lyles' Brother Josephus

On Saturday, Miami Dolphins superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill posted a video on his YouTube channel of the race that saw him beat Noah Lyles' brother, Josephus Lyles, last month.

At the ATX Sprint Classic in Austin, Texas, on June 28, Hill ran the 100-yard dash in 10.10 seconds, per Travis Miller of NBC Sports, finishing ahead of Josephus Lyles in the process:

Hill was originally scheduled to race Noah Lyles, who won a gold medal in the 100-yard dash and a bronze in the 200-yard dash at the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Earlier this year, Hill and Lyles told People's Natasha Dye that they had agreed to a race after months of trading barbs on social media.

Lyles told reporters that the race was scheduled to take place last month in Times Square in New York City, but he had to call it off due to "personal reasons."

The three-time Olympic medalist said they were "very deep into creating the event" before having to pull the plug on it.

Per ESPN, Hill and Lyles took several playful shots at each other leading up to their proposed race this year.

When Lyles won the 60-meter indoor title in February, who removed his bib to reveal the message, "Tyreek Could Never."

Then, after Hill ran the 100m in a time of 10.15 seconds last month, he responded with a sign that read, "Noah Could Never."

Hill ended up posting a new personal best of 10.10 seconds at the ATX Sprint Classic to best the 28-year-old Lyles' younger brother, but that performance likely wouldn't have been enough to take down the elder Lyles.

Noah Lyles' personal-best time in the 100m is 9.79 seconds, which was the time he posted to win gold at the 2024 Summer Games.

Still, Hill's performance was impressive given that he has been focused on football rather than track over the past several years.

Any athlete would be hard-pressed to beat Lyles in a 100-meter race, but the 31-year-old Hill showed in Austin that he might be able to at least pose a threat, as the eight-time Pro Bowler was competitive against some legitimate track stars.
