Von Miller's Commanders Contract Reportedly Worth Up to $10.5M With Incentives
Three days after agreeing to a deal with the Washington Commanders, financial details of Von Miller's contract have come out.
Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Miller will sign a one-year, $6.1 million deal that can max out at $10.5 million with incentives.
Miller's future in the NFL was up in the air after he was released by the Buffalo Bills in March. Despite a prolonged free agency, the 36-year-old told reporters in May he wanted to play at least one more season.

One of Miller's motivations to continue his career is to pass former Denver Broncos teammate DeMarcus Ware on the all-time sacks list. He currently has 129.5 career sacks, nine away from tying Ware's mark of 138.5
Miller is 8.5 sacks away from moving into sole possession of 10th place on the NFL's all-time sacks leaderboard.
Even though Miller is no longer the game-wrecking force he was in the prime of his career, he is still an effective pass-rusher in the right situation. The eight-time Pro Bowler had six sacks in 13 games for the Bills in 2024.
The Commanders were looking for help on the margins as they try to put the finishing touches on a roster they believe is capable of getting to a Super Bowl after reaching the NFC Championship Game last season.
Getting more production from the pass-rush at a low cost is a smart move for the Commanders. Dante Fowler and Frankie Luvu were the only players on the team with more sacks last season than Miller.
Miller will be with the Commanders when they report to training camp on Tuesday. His first in-game appearance could come in the preseason opener against the New England Patriots on Aug. 8.
