Mariners Post Cal Raleigh Meme in Reaction to Viral Coldplay Concert Video
The Seattle Mariners are giving new meaning to All-Star catcher Cal Raleigh's nickname of "Big Dumper."
The Mariners recommended in a Thursday post on X that people whose "significant other was recently spotted at a Coldplay concert" could reach out to BigDumper@Mariners.com.

The club was referring to a viral video from a recent Coldplay concert in Boston, during which a couple reacted negatively to being shown on the jumbotron at the New England Patriots' Gillette Stadium.
The Mariners' meme came from a promotion the team started running at T-Mobile Park during the 2024 season, when fans who sent a message to the same email address could hire Raleigh to orchestrate their breakup.
Seattle Sports' Mike Lefko shared a video from August 2024 in which Raleigh told "Amanda in section 212" that she had just gotten "dumped by the Big Dumper."
This isn't the first time Raleigh has capitalized on the Big Dumper moniker during his breakout 2025 season. Portable restroom company Honey Bucket also recently announced a partnership with Raleigh based on his nickname.
Raleigh hit an MLB-high 38 homers in 94 games before becoming the first catcher to win the MLB Home Run Derby. He will look to continue racing New York Yankees star Aaron Judge for the most home runs this season when the Mariners return from the All-Star Break with a Friday home game against the Houston Astros.
