Paul Skenes Amazes MLB Fans with Perfect All-Star Game 1st Inning vs. Judge, AL Lineup

Have an All-Star Game, Paul Skenes.

The Pittsburgh Pirates ace started Tuesday's MLB All-Star Game and made quite the impression in his one inning of work. He struck out the first two batters he faced in Gleyber Torres and Riley Greene and then induced a ground out from Aaron Judge to complete his perfect frame.

Skenes' brilliant first inning inspired plenty of reaction from social media:

The matchup between Skenes and Judge was arguably the most anticipated one of the entire game, as the former has already established himself as one of the game's elite pitchers while the latter could be well on his way to his third American League MVP in four years.

Skenes earned bragging rights this time around, although it likely won't be the last time they face each other in the All-Star Game.

The right-hander also put his team in position to take an early lead, and the National League delivered when it pushed across two runs in the bottom half of the frame.

Ketel Marte's double scored Shohei Ohtani and Ronald Acuña Jr. as the home team got to Tarik Skubal in a way the American League was unable to do against Skenes.
