Caitlin Clark Reflects on Recording 14 Points, 13 Assists vs. Paige Bueckers, Wings
Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever dropped 102 points to defeat Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings by 19 points on Sunday morning, and Clark reflected on how the team split the numbers to get it done as she finished with 14 points and 13 assists.
"I still probably didn’t shoot it as well as I would have liked, but I feel like it’s coming, Clark told reporters. "Just continuing to get my legs under me. Like I said pregame, I feel like I’m a couple of shots away from having a really good game. But I thought my playmaking was really good, so there wasn’t really a reason for me to shoot that much."

Four starters scored in double figures, with Natasha Howard posting 18 points, Aliyah Boston adding 17, Kelsey Mitchell scoring 20 and Clark finishing with 14. Sophie Cunningham added 13 points off the bench to help power the win.
"When we have five people in double figures, I feel like we’re going to be pretty hard to beat. It would take a lot for a team to beat us," Clark continued. "We were kind of just firing on all cylinders—moving the ball well, getting to the next action, playing out of the pick-and-roll well—and then our defense was good and got us a lot of buckets in transition."
When the Fever get contributions across the board — with every player logging five or more minutes adding points to the stat sheet — they’re a tough team to beat.
Indiana poured in 102 points while shooting 51.9 percent from the field and 73.7 percent from the free-throw line. The Fever also grabbed 11 offensive rebounds and recorded 11 steals.
With the impressive win, Indiana improved to 11-10 on the season, sitting third in the Eastern Conference standings, 3.5 games back from first place.
