Yankees' Jazz Chisholm Jr. Completes 2025 MLB HR Derby Field, Joins Cal Raleigh, More

New York Yankees infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. has been announced as the final participant of this year's Home Run Derby.

The 27-year-old Chisholm is in his sixth MLB season and second with the New York Yankees after the Miami Marlins traded him to the Bronx last July. He hasn't necessarily been a massive power threat over the years, but Chisholm does sport a 162-game average of 30 home runs over his career.

This year, Chisholm has showcased his power, though, smacking 17 homers in just 61 games. He just led the Yankees to a 9-6 win over the Seattle Mariners with a two-homer, four-RBI game on Wednesday. Chisholm has also hit seven homers in his last 12 games.

As far as his Derby prospects go, Chisholm might be an underdog here, especially with some prolific power threats such as Raleigh (MLB-leading 36 home runs) and Acuña (41 home runs in two different seasons). However, it's an impressive feat just to make the field, and that's what Chisholm has done as he's earned a trip to Atlanta for the Derby on Monday night.
