The Los Angeles Dodgers are honoring an L.A. icon.
The National League West team revealed a list of promotional items for the second half of the season on Thursday, and one bobblehead stood out. The Dodgers will give away a bobblehead of Los Angeles Lakers icon Kobe Bryant for the Aug. 8 game against the Toronto Blue Jays:

Bryant was an avid Dodgers fan and often attended home games at Dodger Stadium.
The team also gave away custom Bryant jerseys last season that featured his No. 8 on the front and his No. 24 on the back. It had a "KB" patch on the sleeve and a snake in recognition of his Black Mamba nickname.

After Bryant and his daughter Gianna were among those who were killed in a 2020 helicopter crash, players on the Dodgers honored his legacy by wearing his jersey before a game during the ensuing season:
The bobblehead is the latest way the team is recognizing Lakers royalty.
Bryant played his entire career with Los Angeles and established himself as one of the best players in league history. His Hall of Fame resume included five championships, two NBA Finals MVPs, a league MVP, two scoring titles, 15 All-NBA selections, 12 All-Defensive nods and 18 All-Star Game selections.
