Wimbledon 2025 Men's Semifinal Bracket TV Schedule, Start Time and Live Stream Info
On Friday, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner will attempt to join Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer (2006-08) as the only players in the Open Era to meet in both the French Open and Wimbledon finals in the same year.
But they each have one more hurdle to clear.
Sinner will face 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic, who is not only eyeing a record-breaking 25th Grand Slam but has also reached the final here six years in a row.
Meanwhile, two-time defending champion Alcaraz will face perhaps this year's most impressive grass-court player in Taylor Fritz, who has won 13 of 14 matches on the grass swing this year.
Fritz is looking to become the first American to reach the Wimbledon final since Andy Roddick in 2009.
The men's singles semifinals will start at 8 a.m. ET on Friday. Both matches can be viewed on ESPN and live-streamed on ESPN+.
According to DraftKings Sportsbook, Alcaraz is a -600 favorite against Fritz (+425). Sinner is a narrower -215 favorite vs. Djokovic (+160).
Alcaraz remains the favorite to take home the title at -150, followed by Sinner (+220), Djokovic (+400) and Fritz (+1800).
No. 1 Jannik Sinner vs. No. 6 Novak Djokovic
1 of 2
Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner will meet for the 10th time in their careers on Friday.
While Djokovic emerged victorious in four of their initial five matches, Sinner has since emerged as the Serbian's greatest challenger.
Including the 2025 French Open semifinal, Sinner has won their last four matchups, becoming the first player since Andy Roddick in 2009-10 to defeat the 24-time Grand Slam champion four consecutive times.
Djokovic has won the pair's two matchups at Wimbledon and has made the Wimbledon final the past six years straight; however, the pair hasn't met at the All England Club since 2023, and Sinner's play has reached unprecedented heights since then.
Before losing a tune-up event at the Halle Open to Alexander Bublik, Sinner had won 49 consecutive matches against players not named Carlos Alcaraz.
The 23-year-old has emerged as the most intimidating player on tour with his blistering-yet-consistent baseline aggression and levels of physicality that seemingly only Alcaraz is able to reach.
Djokovic has found top form again this week, finding his signature return game and a dominant first serve to get him out of trouble.
However, the physicality, aggression and consistency this match will require may be too much for the 38-year-old to overcome.
Djokovic should win a set, but anything more than that seems unlikely given Sinner's current level.
Prediction: Jannik Sinner over Novak Djokovic in four sets
No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz vs. No. 5 Taylor Fritz
2 of 2
Taylor Fritz has reached unprecedented heights on the grass swing this season.
The top-ranked American has won 13 of his 14 grass-court matches, becoming the first American man to reach the Wimbledon semifinal since John Isner in 2018.
While he's hoping to become the first American man to reach the Wimbledon final since Andy Roddick, the next job could not be any more difficult.
Two-time defending Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz has won a career-high 23 consecutive matches.
The Spaniard has won each of the pair's two matchups in dominant fashion, but this may be Fritz's best chance to capture a rare win in the head-to-head battle.
Fritz has won at least 78 percent of points on first serve across every match, but more importantly, he has been remarkably consistent from the baseline, committing more than 27 errors in just one match this week.
But that won't be enough to defeat Alcaraz.
After playing several inconsistent matches, the five-time major champion found his dominant form in the quarterfinal round against Cam Norrie, whom he needed just over one hour and 40 minutes to defeat.
In order for the five-seed to have any chance, he'll need to establish aggression early and take advantage of the serve-and-volley.
But even then, Alcaraz has made significant improvements on both his first serve and in rally discipline, putting the prospects of an improbable upset in doubt.
Expect a few tie-breakers, with Fritz likely grabbing a set, but it would take a special performance for anything more.
Prediction: Carlos Alcaraz over Taylor Fritz in four sets
