Dak Prescott, QB, Dallas Cowboys
2024 Season: 185-of-286, 1,978 yards passing, 11 TD, 8 INTs; 54 rushing yards, TD
Buyer beware. Managers who invest in Prescott's stock take a moderate risk with his injury history. He's missed at least five games in two of the last three seasons.
On the other hand, Prescott has been a top-11 fantasy quarterback in every season that he's played at least 16 games. So, for two-thirds of his career, he's posted QB1 numbers in standard-sized fantasy leagues.
Prescott won't provide the rushing production compared to his early years when he recorded six rushing touchdowns in each of his first three campaigns, but the Cowboys could once again field a pass-heavy offense.
In five of the last six seasons, Dallas has ranked 10th or higher in pass attempts. So, even with Prescott's injuries, the Cowboys have pushed the ball through the air.
Head coach Brian Schottenheimer doesn't have a clear-cut No. 1 running back, but he has a healthy Prescott, All-Pro wideout CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens and Pro Bowl tight end Jake Ferguson. The Cowboys will light up defenses with their aerial attack this year.
Buy Prescott for: Tua Tagovailoa, Geno Smith, Bryce Young
Roschon Johnson, RB, Chicago Bears
2024 Season: 55 carries, 150 yards, 6 TD; 16 catches, 104 yards
Given Chicago head coach Ben Johnson's history of running the ball when he was the Detroit Lions' offensive coordinator, coupled with D'Andre Swift's injury history early in his career, the Bears' No. 2 tailback should be on your radar.
Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer speculated that Johnson's role could be similar to David Montgomery's workload under Johnson, which is good enough for an RB2 spot on rosters.
In 2023 and 2024, Montgomery finished 17th and 18th, respectively, in fantasy scoring for point-per-reception leagues.
Johnson has a pathway to be a top-20 running back if he gets more than 220 touches, like Montgomery did in the same system. While Swift will draw most of the attention as the Bears' lead running back, make sure you target Johnson, who could be the best handcuff option in fantasy football this year.
Buy Johnson for: Jaylen Wright, Tyler Allgeier, Kareem Hunt
Cedric Tillman, WR, Cleveland Browns
2024 Season: 29 catches, 339 yards, 3 TDs
The Browns offense has some obvious questions with an unsettled quarterback situation. However, Tillman may see a high volume of targets from whoever starts under center.
The Athletic's Zac Jackson noted that Tillman is a "locked-in starter" if he stays healthy. The third-year receiver suffered what Jackson called a "minor" injury during the spring.
Last season, after Cleveland traded wide receiver Amari Cooper to the Buffalo Bills, Tillman had a brief stretch of notable production between Weeks 7 and 9, hauling in 21 out of 32 targets for 255 yards and three touchdowns.
Entering the 2025 season as a starter bodes well for Tillman's outlook, regardless of who wins the Browns' quarterback competition.
Buy Tillman for: Devaughn Vele, Christian Kirk, Adam Thielen

Sam Darnold, QB, Seattle Seahawks
2024 Season: 361-of-545, 4,319 yards passing, 35 TD, 12 INTs; 212 rushing yards, TD
This isn't a premature doubt about Darnold's ability to hold a starting job. The Seahawks could lean heavily on their rushing attack though.
Last year, head coach Mike Macdonald emphasized the need to establish the ground game, and former offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb's failure to do so likely contributed to his dismissal. New Seahawks offensive play-caller Klint Kubiak will probably adjust to feature running backs Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet.
In 2024, the Seahawks ranked seventh in pass attempts and near the bottom of the league in rush attempts and yards, but expect more balance in the upcoming term.
Although the Minnesota Vikings ranked 18th in passing attempts last season, Darnold was efficient, ranking within the top five in both passing yards and touchdowns. That said, he won't have All-Pro wideout Justin Jefferson or a Pro Bowl right tackle in Seattle.
Moreover, Kevin O'Connell has become one of the league's top passing game play-callers, fielding a top-six aerial attack in yards and touchdowns for three consecutive years in Minnesota.
With a lesser supporting cast and Seattle's emphasis on the ground game, Darnold will see a decline in his passing numbers. Managers should sell his stock while it's at a steep price.
Sell Darnold for: Dak Prescott, Brock Purdy, Trevor Lawrence
Alvin Kamara, RB, New Orleans Saints
2024 Season: 228 carries, 950 yards, 6 TD; 68 catches, 543 yards, 2 TDs
While some managers have the logical thought that Kamara will see a lot of action in the short passing game as Tyler Shough, Spencer Rattler or Jake Haener dink and dunk their way down the field, the soon-to-be 30-year-old running back may not see a full workload.
First and foremost, Kamara's body is beginning to show signs of wear and tear. Since 2021, he's missed 13 games and at least three outings in three of the previous four years.
With arguably the league's worst quarterback room, the Saints' 2025 season could go off the rails before Thanksgiving. If it does, Kamara, at his age, may handle fewer touches as New Orleans looks toward 2026.
If the Saints protect Kamara in a lost season, Kendre Miller, Cam Akers and rookie sixth-rounder Devin Neal could see more touches in the second half of the 2025 term.
Sell Kamara for: RJ Harvey, Jaylen Warren, Breece Hall
DJ Moore, WR, Chicago Bears
2024 Season: 98 catches, 966 yards, 6 TDs, 14 carries, 75 yards
Moore has been a top-15 fantasy wide receiver once in seven seasons (2023). For most of his career, he's been a solid WR2 at best. Managers can capitalize on the buzz surrounding the Bears' offense as former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson makes the transition to head coach in Chicago.
Chicago's previous coaching regime failed to utilize Moore as a big-play threat last season, and he averaged a career-low 9.9 yards per catch, but the Bears' top wideout led the team in targets (140) and recorded a career-high 98 catches.
Managers should expect a drop-off in target volume in the upcoming term. Johnson has a history of featuring the run game.
Also, quarterback Caleb Williams will have plenty of options in the passing game, including second-year wideout Rome Odunze, rookie second-round receiver Luther Burden III, rookie first-round tight end Colston Loveland and sixth-year tight end Cole Kmet.
Moore may be more inconsistent than in years past as a part of a crowded pass-catching group.
Sell Moore for: Tee Higgins, Jordan Addison, Jaylen Waddle

Trey Benson, RB, Arizona Cardinals
2024 Season: 63 carries, 291 yards, TD; 6 catches, 59 yards
Benson has bulked up, and he wants a larger workload.
"That's my mindset: Two RB1s," he said to reporters.
The Cardinals selected Benson in the third round of the 2024 draft. Based on his draft status, the team saw potential for him to take on a sizable workload within a short time frame.
Last season, Benson recorded 63 carries for 291 yards and a touchdown. He only caught six passes for 59 yards. The second-year running back could be a threat to James Conner's featured role on early downs. Managers should keep an eye on him in the preseason. Keep in mind that Conner turned 30 in May.
Dont'e Thornton Jr., WR, Las Vegas Raiders
2024 Season: N/A
Thornton emerged as a standout during the Raiders' spring practices, showcasing his physical tools.
Levi Edwards of the Raiders' official website noted that the rookie fourth-round receiver has a budding connection with quarterback Geno Smith, whom the team acquired from the Seattle Seahawks this offseason.
"Thornton has already become a top target for Geno Smith, not only using his speed to get vertical down the field, but towering over smaller defenders in the middle of the field and using his acceleration to create separation consistently," Edwards wrote.
Jakobi Meyers is the only established wide receiver on the depth chart. Tre Tucker is entering his third year with the team, but with a new coaching regime, Las Vegas may have an open competition for the No. 2 receiver spot.
Thornton could edge Tucker and rookie second-rounder Jack Bech for a prominent role in the passing game with a strong showing in the preseason.
Dallas Goedert, TE, Philadelphia Eagles
2024 Season: 42 catches, 496 yards, 2 TDs
Early in the offseason, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni was noncommittal about Goedert's short-term future with the team.
However, the Eagles' change in offensive coordinators could benefit Goedert and lead to a more significant target share than he had in Kellen Moore's offense last season.
While on ESPN's NFL Live (h/t Pro Football Talk's Josh Alper), Goedert expressed excitement for new offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo and the possibility of a significant role in the passing game.
"Throughout OTAs, I've really loved what he's doing with the offense. Little changes here and there and I'm really excited for the opportunity just to—with the connection I grew with him the last four years. What he sees in me in different ways that he's going to get me the ball I'm really excited for."
Pump the brakes on Goedert trade proposals; he could be a top-10 tight end as the third option behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith in a more balanced offense. Philadelphia finished with the fewest pass attempts last season.
