NFL Icon Randy Moss To Make Full-Time ESPN Return After Cancer Diagnosis, Treatment
NFL Hall of Famer and ESPN analyst Randy Moss is expected to return to a full role on Sunday NFL Countdown after his cancer diagnosis led to a two-month hiatus last season.
"Randy's return on Super Bowl Sunday was an emotional lift—not just for our team but for the entire football community—and knowing he will resume his full Sunday NFL Countdown schedule, beginning in Week 1, has been the highlight of the offseason," ESPN said in a statement to Andrew Marchand of The Athletic.
Moss returned to the show in February, ahead of the Super Bowl, after undergoing surgery to treat cancer in his bile duct. He additionally underwent radiation and chemotherapy and had a stent put into his liver following complications from cancer.
Moss has now been a part of ESPN's NFL coverage for 10 years after his 14-year NFL career. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018.
