The rest of the NHL's race to catch the Florida Panthers begins in the offseason.

While Florida won back-to-back Stanley Cup titles the last two seasons, the league could look notably different by the start of the 2025-26 campaign. After all, a $7.5 million increase to a $95.5 million salary cap means more teams can make more notable improvements ahead of the start of the new season.
