Bruins Unveil New Uniforms in Video With Michael J. Fox, Photos After Logo Reveal
The Boston Bruins officially unveiled their new uniforms for the 2025-26 season on Wednesday.
In a video announcement paying homage to Back to the Future featuring Michael J. Fox and Charlie McAvoy, the Bruins hyped the new jersey as being "Boston built" and "powered by tradition."
Bruins president Cam Neely touted the jerseys as having a combination of "fan-favorite" elements from the team's history and a revitalized style to carry them into the future.
"Next season marks the start of a new chapter in Boston Bruins history; And as we turn the page, we are excited do so with a new look and feel," said Neely. "Combining some fan-favorite elements from the past with a refreshed style, these sweaters are going to look sharp on TD Garden ice in the Fall."
The key changes to the jerseys include revitalized crest with vintage spokes and the contemporary block "B" that was originally introduced in 2007 when the franchise previously updated its look.
They have also added a new shoulder patch featuring a bruin and a throwback stripe on the sleeves.
It's a testament to Fox's NHL fandom that he was willing to lend his services to the Bruins, given that he is a documented fan of the New York Rangers. The Emmy-winning actor does have a connection to New England, with his daughter, Aquinnah, named after a town in Martha's Vineyard.
Fox also served as the narrator for the Bruins' Reach for the Stars video released in 1990. It helped the 1990-91 team win a division title and reach the conference finals before losing to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
