Sanders wasn't selected in the 2025 NFL draft after two seasons as a starting safety for his father Deion Sanders at Colorado.

He signed with the Bucs shortly after the end of the draft on April 26. Spotrac reports the deal is a three-year, $2.97 million contract.

Sanders recently celebrated the deal by sending Apple watches to players competing for the Buffaloes in 2025.

Deion Sanders said on a livestream shortly after the safety signed with the Buccaneers that he was "thankful" his son would get to work with Bucs former defensive coordinator and current head coach Todd Bowles.

Bowles said in April on an appearance on SiriusXM NFL Radio (h/t JoeBucsFan.com) that Sanders is "a heck of a tackler and he knows the game very well."

"So giving him a chance to play, we think he has a shot to help us from a safety standpoint and from a special teams standpoint. So I’m excited to get him in here and see how he moves," Bowles said.

Sanders will now hope to impress Bowles enough in training camp this summer in order to earn a spot on the field at Raymond James Stadium when the Buccaneers return for a Week 3 home opener against the New York Jets on Sept. 21.
