Derrick Henry Accepts Bet to Rush for 2K Yards in Exchange for Adam Sandler Movie Role
After coming up just short in 2024, Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry will be highly motivated to reach the 2,000-yard mark in 2025.
But it won't be his new $30 million contract motivating him. Instead, it will be the prospect of landing a role alongside his favorite actor.
On the Dan Patrick Show, Henry made a bet with Dan Patrick that if he gets to 2,000 rushing yards, he can be in an Adam Sandler movie.

"If you get to 2,000 yards, I'll get you in a Sandler movie," Patrick said.
After the year Henry had a season ago, 2,000 rushing yards seems well within reason. Henry, in his first year with the Ravens, rushed for 1,921 yards and 16 touchdowns, his best year since 2020 when he had 2,027 yards and 16 touchdowns.
Perhaps head coach John Harbaugh will give Henry a few more carries as he looks to reach the mark.
As far as finding his way into one of Sandler's movies, that shouldn't be too hard since Sandler has worked with NFL stars in the past, including Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, who will be in Happy Gilmore 2 later this year.
