Taylyn Hadley May 31, 2025

The Los Angeles Dodgers have installed protective netting after a fan said they were hit by a chunk of concrete Friday night during the Dodgers’ game against the New York Yankees at Dodger Stadium.

The netting was placed over a small section underneath the top deck of the stadium in the Section 10 reserve section, between home plate and first base.

The 63-year-old stadium had some cracking in the concrete above the section that ultimately fell on a fan and hit him in the back, per The Athletic's Brendan Kuty.

Other fans saw the piece of concrete fall and hit the fan, who was tended to by security and a police officer after the incident.
