The Oakland Raiders: Media Assult Affecting Oaklnd Raiders Value?

Nowhere in professional sports is one team so vilified as the Oakland Raiders. Any true

raiders fan is well aware that the only positive images of the franchise are the Namdi

Asomugha commercials that Dicks Sporting Goods and Reebok run on TV.

Any other time that the Raiders are mentioned is at the beginning or end of some

joke delivered by some overly biased "expert" (I use that term in the loosest terms

allowable by law) that was given a microphone to talk their nonsense.

With that said, you would have to be in the deepest denial to think that the Raiders

organization is a model NFL franchise. It is not nor was it ever intended to be. The

same traits and organizational philosophies that created the mystique of the Raiders is

in essence the same thing has led to this historic decline of a once dominate but still

proud franchise.

We are not playing good football right now( last 6 years) but there is no need to go to

the extent that they do. Detroit 0-16……..and crickets, Miami-1-15…then Wayne

Huizinga sheds tears and it’s a feel good story. I thought you where suppose to have

an unbiased view when reporting to the masses. Oh, I’m was under the assumption

that integrity is important. I apologize.  

Is it just coincidence that Forbs has the Raiders ranked 32nd of 32 in term of Brand

worth? Do you think that the Raider have not suffered financially from the torrent of

negative remarks slung by main stream sports media?

Ask yourself this:  If Dan Rathers, Oprah or your local news anchors where consistently

bad mouthing franchises like Starbuck, McDonalds, and Nike , would those companies

continue to be as profitable as they once where or could be???? Me either.

That’s just food for though......I really want to hear what everyone has to say, Raider

and non Raider fans alike.
