Dodgers, Yankees, Cubs, Red Sox Topped MLB in 2024 Ticket Revenue Per Game

Paul KasabianMay 30, 2025

The Los Angeles Dodgers led MLB in 2024 in ticket revenue, per Kurt Badenhausen of Sportico, with the New York Yankees, Chicago Cubs, Boston Red Sox and Houston Astros rounding out the top five.

None of those teams are any surprises. The Dodgers were MLB's best team in the 2024 regular season with 98 wins, and they ended up winning the World Series. They featured the greatest draw in the sport last year in NL MVP Shohei Ohtani, who became the first player in MLB history to post a 50-50 season when he hit 54 home runs and stole 59 bases. Their paid attendance of 3,941,251 ranked first in the majors.

The Yankees aren't a surprise either, considering their excellent season (94 wins, the AL pennant) led by two superstars in AL MVP Aaron Judge and Juan Soto. It ended up being the Yankees' first appearance in the World Series in 15 years, and as the team fared well, fans obviously had great interest in their season. Their paid attendance of 3,309,838 ranked first in the American League.

The Cubs and Red Sox had mediocre seasons, finishing with 83 and 81 wins and ending their years outside the playoffs. But they are obviously two of the biggest franchises in the league playing in big markets, so it's no surprise they drew well too. Chicago welcomed 2,909,794 at the gate, while 2,659,949 saw Boston play at Fenway Park.

Houston rounded out the top five. The Astros have enjoyed tremendous success since 2017, winning four pennants and two World Series titles. Houston won the AL West for the seventh time in eight years last season, finishing with an 88-73 record. The Astros' paid attendance of 2,835,234 ranked second in the AL.
