'Happy Gilmore 2' Teaser Video Released by Adam Sandler Ahead of Full Trailer Reveal
Having already released a teaser trailer for Happy Gilmore 2, Adam Sandler and Netflix have put out another teaser for the full trailer release of the sequel to the 1996 hit comedy.
Sandler posted the 14-second video on X, which includes Gilmore taking his trademark swing with the caption, "A comeback 30 years in the making," before a rapid-fire montage of images from the film.

The full trailer will almost certainly be revealed as part of Netflix's Tudum event being broadcast on the streamer starting at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday.
This is the latest in a long line of teases for the Happy Gilmore sequel that started in March 2024 when Christopher McDonald, who plays Shooter McGavin, said in a radio interview that Sandler told him they finished the first draft of the script.
Sandler later joked that McDonald wasn't supposed to say anything publicly about the script, but it turned out okay since Netflix officially greenlit the project in May 2024.
Plot details for the movie have largely been kept under wraps, though the original teaser from March seems to indicate Happy is returning to golf for the first time since the end of the previous movie.
Several athletes have been confirmed to have cameos, including Travis Kelce, Rory McIlroy, John Daly, Bryson DeChambeau and Becky Lynch. AEW star MJF has a supporting role as one of Happy's sons.
The movie will premiere on Netflix on July 25. Sandler and Tim Herlihy, who co-wrote the original, wrote the script for the sequel. Kyle Newacheck, who previously worked with Sandler on Murder Mystery, is directing the film.
