Alabama 4, Missouri 1

Alabama opened the SEC Tournament with a hard-fought win over Missouri behind a strong effort from starting pitcher Tyler Fay.

Despite surrendering a solo home run in the fourth inning, Fay settled in and produced a solid outing with 6.0 innings, five hits, one earned run and six strikeouts. Three relievers combined for three shutout innings with four hits and four strikeouts.

The Crimson Tide will be looking for a similar effort when they face No. 8 Tennessee in the second round on Tuesday.

Oklahoma 5, Kentucky 1

Oklahoma used strong pitching and timely hitting to get past Kentucky on Tuesday afternoon.

Jaden Barfield and James Hitt pitched four innings apiece, allowing just one unearned run and combining for four strikeouts. Dylan Crooks closed things out with a scoreless ninth inning that included two strikeouts.

The Sooners offense was powered by Jason Walk's two-run home run in a three-run third inning. They tacked on a couple more runs in the sixth and eighth innings.

Up next for Oklahoma will be a matchup against No. 5 Georgia on Wednesday.

Florida 11, South Carolina 3

A disastrous season for South Carolina came to an end in blowout fashion in the first round of the SEC tournament.

Florida's offense overpowered the Gamecocks and the Gators' pitching did its job in the win.

Bobby Boser, Brody Donay and Hayden Yost all went yard for Florida. Boser hit a three-run shot in the second and Donay and Yost had solo homers in the third and fifth innings, respectively.

With the Gators' offense stepping up, there wasn't too much pressure on the mound. Billy Barlow went 3.2 innings, giving up just one run. Blaine Rowland also pitched 3.2 innings, giving up two runs but getting the win. Christian Rodriguez closed things out, pitching 1.2 innings and giving up just one hit.

After the dominant win, Florida will now have a matchup against No. 7 Ole Miss on Wednesday.
