Cowboys' George Pickens Praised By Schottenheimer, HC Says WR Has Been 'Dialed In'
Following his trade from the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Dallas Cowboys, wide receiver George Pickens has wasted no time impressing his new team.
Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer had high praise for Pickens while speaking to reporters on Tuesday, saying the wideout has been "dialed in" during meetings in OTAs.
Pickens, who had faced questions about his maturity during his time in Pittsburgh, has already shown personal growth during his brief time in Dallas.

"My time with him has been incredible," Schottenheimer said. "โฆ We were all on board [with adding him]. I see a guy that is maturing. Heโs obviously a tremendous athlete."
The 2025 season is the final year of Pickens' rookie deal, and heย reportedly isn't pushingย for a contract extension in hopes of proving his capabilities as a go-to option in the passing attack. It appears those motivations have extended to proving his worth off the football field as well.
Pickensย spoke about his perceived maturity issuesย during a conference call after being acquired by the Cowboys, saying he's satisfied with his development so far.
"I can't change anyone's opinion. Me, personally, I just continue to grow," Pickensย told reporters. "Everyone in the world has to grow as you get older and older. I'm just trying to build a winning culture, which they already have at the Cowboys. I'm just glad to be joining."
Pickens will have the chance to make an immediate impact in a talented Dallas offense led by quarterback Dak Prescott and fellow wideout CeeDee Lamb. The Cowboys are hoping he can help them make a return to the playoffs this year.
