Phillies' Bryce Harper Gets Buzz Cut amid Hitting Slump, New Haircut Revealed in Photo

Bryce Harper is not having the start to the 2025 season that he was surely hoping for, and he made quite the change as he looks to break out of a slump.

The Philadelphia Phillies star went with a buzz-cut look, which stood in stark contrast to the long hair fans had grown accustomed to when seeing the slugger:

The haircut comes as he's hit just two home runs since April 18. He is also slashing just .227/.300/.409 in 44 May at-bats, which is a far cry from his normal production.

"I'm just frustrated on a bigger level," Harper told reporters earlier this month. "Just want to come through for the team and play well. And obviously, I've been through ruts in my career and gone through ups and downs. And, worse than what I'm on right now. But, just frustrated for the fans, frustrated for my team."

Harper's track record suggests he will break out of his slump, haircut or not.

After all, his resume includes two MVPs, a Rookie of the Year, eight All-Star Game selections and four Silver Slugger awards. He launched 30 home runs just last season and is typically one of the best players in the league.

At least his team hasn't struggled as much as he has with a 24-17 record.

That is good enough for second place in the National League East and a wild-card spot in the current standings.
