Woman Shares Touching Story Meeting Jaguars' Travis Hunter During Flight in Viral Post

A woman detailed her heartwarming interaction with Jacksonville Jaguars first-round draft pick Travis Hunter on a flight in a viral social media post.

"I had the most wonderful flight home from Denver," she wrote in the post. "I met the nicest young man who sat next to me. He offered to put my bag in the overhead compartment and helped me with my tray. He was always polite, saying 'yes ma’am' or 'no ma’am.' Anyone would be proud to have him as a son or grandson—so polite."

"People walking by were saying congratulations, great job, or even taking pictures," she added. "I turned and asked him, 'Who am I sitting next to?' I looked at his Jaguar pants, smiled, and asked, 'Are you an athlete?' He smiled and said, 'I’m Travis. Yes, I was drafted by the Jags.' I already told my sons I want his jersey. He’s so humble and down-to-earth—I would have never guessed he was a professional athlete. JACKSONVILLE JAGS, you did good! I will be buying tickets. United Airlines, thank you for my seat assignment!"

Before heading to Jacksonville for the team's rookie minicamp, Hunter flew to Colorado to attend his college graduation.

Expectations are high for the former Buffaloes two-way standout, as the Jaguars traded up to select him with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.

Hunter excelled at both cornerback and wide receiver throughout his tenure in Colorado, winning the 2024 Heisman Trophy.

In 13 games last season, he hauled in 96 receptions for 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns. Hunter also recorded 36 tackles, 11 passes defensed and four interceptions.

The 21-year-old may not play two positions full-time at the NFL level, but he could still see some action on both sides of the ball.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported Saturday that Hunter is expected to "major" in offense and "minor" in defense during his 2025 campaign.

As he wraps up the Jaguars' rookie minicamp on Sunday and prepares for his inaugural season in the NFL, Hunter received a new fan following a meeting on his flight for his graduation.
