Travis Hunter to Wear No. 12 Jaguars Jersey for Rookie NFL Season After 2025 Draft
Travis Hunter will be wearing a familiar number as a rookie in the NFL.
The Jacksonville Jaguars announced their rookie numbers Friday morning, with Hunter set to rock the same No. 12 he wore at the University of Colorado.
Hunter's No. 12 is now retired at Colorado after he won the Heisman Trophy last season.
Heading into the draft, Hunter was rated as the No. 1 overall player by Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department. The Jaguars entered the opening round with the fifth pick, but shipped that selection, No. 36 overall, No. 126 overall and a 2026 first-round pick to the Cleveland Browns in order to land Hunter.
When looking at his college production, it's easy to see why the Jaguars were so high on Hunter. He had 96 catches for 1,258 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns on offense and contributed 36 tackles, 11 pass deflections and four interceptions on defense. For his efforts, he won the Heisman Trophy and was an All-American for the second consecutive season.
