Ex-NFL Coach Says Intel on Shedeur Sanders Was 'Shocking' and QB Had 'No Awareness'

Shedeur Sanders' shocking fall to the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round will be dissected for years to come, and there will be plenty of reporting on what, precisely, caused him to drop so far.

How he handled the pre-draft process—which included skipping the Senior Bowl and not throwing at the NFL Scouting Combine—might provide some clues.

"The intel I got was shocking: 'This guy has no awareness about how he's coming across,' or the type of leverage he has or doesn't have," a former NFL quarterbacks coach told Bruce Feldman of The Athletic.
