Mao Saigo Wins 2025 Chevron Championship in 5-Way Playoff, Full Leaderboard, Payouts

The 2025 Chevron Championship came to a thrilling end on Sunday at The Club at Carlton Woods in The Woodlands, Texas.

Four rounds weren't enough to decide the winner, as five players were tied and entered a sudden death playoff. It represented the first five-way playoff in women's major history

In the end, Mao Saigo secured the first LPGA victory of her career with a birdie putt from three feet away on the playoff hole.

Hyo Joo Kim, Ruoning Yin, Ariya Jutanugarn and Lindy Duncan were the other four golfers that advanced to the playoff but couldn't beat out Saigo.

Jutanugarn had a chance to secure a title without needing a playoff, but a bogey on hole No. 18 put her in a tie with the rest of the leaders.

Saigo recorded her birdie putt first in the playoff, while the other golfers couldn't do the same. Yin missed an eagle putt to win, ultimately failing to sink her second putt as well. Kim and Duncan also failed to birdie, giving the win to Saigo.

It was an impressive victory for the 23-year-old, who earned LPGA Rookie of the Year honors in 2024.
