Chad Reuter's 2025 NFL Draft Grades Revealed as Giants, Steelers Top Expert's Rankings
After the 2025 NFL draft came to a close on Saturday, NFL.com's Chad Reuter graded the incoming rookie classes of all 32 teams.
Six teams received an "A" grade, including the New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Giants were particularly active in the first round of the draft on Thursday, selecting Penn State edge-rusher Abdul Carter with the No. 3 overall pick. Then, they traded back into the first round in order to add Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart at No. 25.

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap ๐ธ

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
"Taking the immensely talented Carter made sense despite already havingย Brian Burnsย andย Kayvon Thibodeauxย on the edge," Reuter wrote. "Trading two third-round picks (this year's and next) was a reasonable price to trade back into the first round for a potential future starting quarterback in Dart."
New York has veteran Russell Wilson under contract for the 2025 season, but Dart could be the team's long-term answer under center.
Pittsburgh heavily focused on building its defensive line early in the draft, selecting defensive tackles Derrick Harmon and Yahya Black as well as edge-rusher Jack Sawyer with three of the team's first four picks.
The Steelers also have questions at quarterback as they pursue Aaron Rodgers in free agency, although they gained some stability by acquiring Ohio State's Will Howard in the sixth round.
"Howard needs to improve his deep accuracy but brings everything else a team wants in a backup quarterback," Reuter wrote.
The impressive rookie classes for the Giants and Steelers could both make immediate impacts during the 2025 season.
