NFL coach calls CFB transfer players 'clowns'

Final Consensus NFL Mock Draft 📝
The situation occurred on Friday during the second day of the draft. Sanders answered the phone and assumed he was being drafted by the Saints when the caller identified themselves as Loomis, only for the person to say he would "have to wait a little bit longer" before hanging up.
Sanders says after the call is over that he doesn't know how anyone outside of the NFL got his number because it was private and he just got that phone on Thursday.
The situation in general and the prank callers specifically were called out for antagonizing a young man waiting for the biggest moment of his life to this point.
Baltimore Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely wrote in a post on X that this is "NEVER" cool or funny.
After the Cleveland Browns took Sanders in the fifth round of the NFL draft, head coach Kevin Stefanski responded to the prank call, calling the situation "sad."
Sanders, to his credit, said afterward there's no point in getting mad because "they want you to have a certain type of reaction to it."
Whether or not you like Sanders is irrelevant in this situation. These people took advantage of a situation to kick someone when they are down in a high-profile position.
