Cam Skattebo to Giants Cheered by Russell Wilson, NFL Fans as Schoen's Draft Praised
The New York Giants selected Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo with the No. 105 overall pick in the NFL draft on Saturday, and quarterback Russell Wilson is clearly a fan.
Big Blue made a big splash with the third pick in Round 4, taking a player who just amassed 2,316 yards from scrimmage and 24 touchdowns. He was a bowling ball on the ground, rushing for 1,711 yards and 21 scores.
Skattebo ranked as the No. 114 overall player on the final B/R NFL Scouting Department big board and No. 11 running back.
Skattebo adds to a Giants a draft class that includes Penn State edge-rusher Abdul Carter, quarterback Jaxson Dart and defensive tackle Darius Alexander. It's a strong haul on paper for general manager Joe Schoen, and fans are impressed thus far.
The Giants have three more picks in this draft: No. 154 (Round 5), No. 219 and No. 246 (both Round 7).
