Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
It was no secret that the Cowboys needed some more pass-rushing help after DeMarcus Lawrence signed with the Seattle Seahawks this offseason. Folks on social media believe Ezeiruaku will provide it:
The Cowboys also signed Dante Fowler Jr. this offseason, providing the team with some much-needed depth at defensive end.
As for Ezeiruaku, the B/R NFL Scouting Department ranked him No. 64 on its final big board, 10th among edge-rushers behind Abdul Carter, Mike Green, Shemar Stewart, Mykel Williams, James Pearce Jr., Nic Scourton, JT Tuimoloau, Princely Umanmielen and Landon Jackson.
In its scouting report of Ezeiruaku, the B/R NFL Scouting Department called him "one of the best pass-rushers in the country this year with 16.5 sacks and several multi-sack performances during the regular season," but added that he "lacks burst off the line to win with speed, his quickness is more average than good for someone of his size, and he's undersized and doesn't have the strength to turn speed to power."
Given the concerns of his size and strength against the run, it's possible that he'll be more of a situational pass-rusher early in his career on obvious passing downs until, or if, he develops more bulk. But it's clear he can get after the quarterback and should provide an upgrade in that department immediately in Dallas.
