Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Taylor is the son of NFL Hall of Famer Jason Taylor, who notably played for the team in 2010. That season was the last time the Jets made the postseason.
Fans took to social media to celebrate the pick and hype up Taylor's upside.
Taylor was rated as the No. 37 overall prospect and the No. 3 tight end in the draft class by Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department. He had 55 catches for 546 yards and two touchdowns in 2024 for LSU.
He joins a Jets team that already selected offensive tackle Armand Membou with the No. 7 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. He joins a team that went 5-12 in 2024 and has Jeremy Ruckert and Stone Smartt as the top tight ends on the depth chart.
