Tyler Shough Reportedly Linked to Browns Ahead of 2025 NFL Draft 2nd Round
Louisville quarterback Tyler Shough is considered to be a possibility for the Cleveland Browns on Day 2 of the 2025 NFL draft, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
"Heard Tyler Shough's name enough that I'm not ruling him out if Browns go QB," Fowler reported.
The Browns picking Shough is also considered a "big if," per Fowler.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
According to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, running back TreVeyon Henderson has been "consistently connected" to the Browns, though it's unclear if if it would be with the No. 33 pick.
Cleveland holds the No. 1 and No. 4 picks in the second round, which are also the No. 33 and No. 36 overall selections in the draft.
Shough appeared in 12 games for the Cardinals in 2024, completing 62.7 percent of his passes for 3,195 yards and 23 touchdowns compared to a mere six interceptions.
While there was buzz surrounding his performance at the scouting combine in Indianapolis potentially boosting his draft stock, he's still on the board after Day 1. His age has likely factored into the decision-making process for teams, as he'll be 26 years old before the 2025 regular season comes to a close.
Still, he could be viewed as a seasoned prospect that is able to contribute sooner rather than later.
On the most recent Day 2 big board from Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department, Shough was listed as the No. 5 quarterback still available.
B/R NFL Scout Dame Parson highlighted the quarterback's pocket passing in his scouting report.
"Shough throws well from the pocket with velocity, accuracy, and ball placement," Parson wrote. "He has a good arm and rips throws in the short and intermediate areas of the field. Shough pushes the ball down the field with a flick of the wrist."
The Browns have two quarterbacks on their roster that are expected to be active in Week 1 of the 2025 season, Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett.
Pickett served as a backup on the Philadelphia Eagles in 2024, and Cleveland may be hesitant to trust the 40-year-old Flacco for an entire season as a starter.
If the Browns are looking to address the quarterback position early in the second round, Shough may be their choice.
