Tetairoa McMillan Says He Has 'Matured' Since Game Film Comments Before 2025 NFL Draft

In a 2023 podcast, former Arizona wideout Tetairoa McMillan—who was the No. 8 overall pick by the Carolina Panthers on Thursday night—said that he doesn't watch football and doesn't like watching game film on his own since the wide receivers room goes over it together.

He has said that those comments no longer reflect his viewpoint on the sport and watching film.

"I definitely have grown, I definitely have matured since that," he told reporters. "I feel like I wouldn't be here before you today without loving this game and watching film. I was just a young and dumb freshman. I definitely have matured."

Clearly the Panthers were convinced, investing a top-10 selection on him to give young quarterback Bryce Young more weapons in the passing game.
