Odell Beckham Jr., Jalen Ramsey's Best Landing Spots After 2025 NFL Draft Day 1

Andrew PetersApr 25, 2025

The first round of the NFL Draft is in the books.

While the focus is still on the days ahead, teams will also start pivoting to the free agent and trade market in the coming weeks as they look to fill needs before the start of the season.

Two players to keep an eye on will be free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and Miami Dolphins corner back Jalen Ramsey. Here's a look at some landing spots for Beckham and Ramsey.

Odell Beckham Jr.

Beckham was a shell of his former self in 2024, starting the year on the physically unable to perform list before making his season debut in October.

In nine games with the Dolphins, he had just nine receptions for 55 yards and was waived in December. In 2023, Beckham had a solid year with 565 receiving yards and three touchdowns with the Baltimore Ravens, but it's unclear if he's capable of that kind of season at this point in his career.

Still, the veteran will likely find a home somewhere this offseason. Here are a few teams that might pick him up.

Baltimore Ravens

Beckham was able to put together a decent season in Baltimore two years ago, and returning to the Ravens could be the best move for him in 2025.

He likely wouldn't get too many reps in Baltimore with Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman and DeAndre Hopkins getting most of the targets, but the Ravens could use the skilled pass catcher in certain situations.

Signing with Baltimore would also give Beckham that chance to compete for another Super Bowl before he calls it a career.

New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints have a need for depth at the wide receiver position this offseason.

The Saints didn't address that need in the first round of the draft, instead taking offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. out of Texas. New Orleans could always pick up a receiver later on in the draft, but if not, Beckham could be an option.

He wouldn't see a ton of targets with the Saints, but he could be a veteran presence on a rebuilding team while also getting to suit up for his hometown squad.

Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals were a team to watch to draft a receiver in the first round, but they opted for defense by taking defensive tackle Walter Nolen.

Signing Beckham this offseason wouldn't be a major pickup for Arizona, but it would give the Cardinals some more depth as they continue trying to put together a playoff contending roster.

Beckham would have the chance to get some targets in Arizona and could take on a leadership role as young receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. continues to develop.

Jalen Ramsey

Though Ramsey is under contract with the Dolphins through the 2028 season, he and the team agreed to explore trade options this offseason.

Ramsey, a seven-time Pro Bowler, is likely past his prime, but he had a solid year in 2024 and could help bolster a team's secondary this season. Here are a few potential trade options for him.

Cincinnati Bengals

While the Bengals boasted one of the best offenses in the league last year fueled by MVP numbers from Joe Burrow, a weak defense kept them from reaching the playoffs.

Cincinnati added a pass rusher in the first round as it drafted Texas A&M edge Shemar Stewart, but it still needs some help in the secondary.

Arguably the weakest link in the Bengals defense last year was its secondary, and the veteran Ramsey could give them some support as they look to get back to the playoffs.

Detroit Lions

Similar to the Bengals, the Lions thrived on offense last season but came up short of a Super Bowl run because of defensive struggles.

Detroit addressed its defensive needs in the first round by picking Ohio State defensive tackle Tyleik Williams, but the secondary still needs some work. The Lions have the chance to pick up a cornerback in the draft, but if they don't, making a call to the Dolphins about Ramsey might be a good idea.

Las Vegas Raiders

It's been a productive offseason in Las Vegas as the team traded for quarterback Geno Smith and signed star pass rusher Maxx Crosby to an extension. The Raiders also drafted star running back Ashton Jeanty sixth overall on Thursday.

But there were also some key departures for the Raiders.

Jack Jones, who had three interceptions in 16 starts, was released earlier this month after the team failed to find a trade for him. Nate Hobbs, who had 49 tackles and an interception in 11 games, left in free agency.

The Raiders are on the brink of having a playoff roster under new head coach Pete Carroll, and trading for a veteran like Ramsey could be exactly what Las Vegas needs.
