Fans were excited to see the Cowboys restock their offensive line in preparation for the return of quarterback Dak Prescott from injury.
Booker started his last two seasons for Alabama, mostly at left guard with one game at left tackle. He led the Crimson Tide with 92 knockdown blocks and played a team-high 778 snaps, according to the program.
He was ranked as the No. 32 overall prospect and No. 2 interior offensive lineman on the final B/R 2025 NFL Draft Big Board.
B/R NFL scout Brandon Thorn comped him to the Buffalo Bills' O'Cyrus Torrence as "a stout run blocker with excellent square power to deliver jolt at the point of attack."
Thorn wrote that Booker is overall "a powerfully built guard with commanding play strength, power, and a tone-setting demeanor who can get manipulated out of position when isolated against high-end rushers but will solidify the pocket against the bull-rush and dish out body blows as a finisher."
Martin announced his retirement in February following 11 NFL seasons, all of which he played for Dallas. The Cowboys will hope they have secured a similarly impactful offensive lineman with the franchise's first pick of the 2025 draft.
