Jets Pick Armand Membou in 2025 NFL Draft as Fans Hail Justin Fields' Offensive Line
The New York Jets are building out their offensive line around Justin Fields.
The Jets selected offensive tackle Armand Membou out of Missouri with the No. 6 pick of the 2025 NFL draft on Thursday.
The decision came after head coach Aaron Glenn had a 45-minute video call with Membou, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Fans praised the decision to build out the OL ahead of the Jets quarterback's first season with the franchise.
Membou started at right tackle for two seasons at Missouri. As a senior he was on the field for 392 pass block snaps, during which he allowed no sacks, no quarterback hits and just eight pressures, according to The 33rd Team.
He was ranked as the No. 10 overall prospect, No. 1 offensive tackle and best run-blocker available on the final B/R 2025 NFL Draft Big Board.
B/R NFL scout Brandon Thorn compared Membou to the Houston Texans' Duane Brown as a "a loose, explosive mover with a dense, powerful build, good length, and a rugged demeanor that allows him to match up on an island in pass protection and deliver body blows as a finisher."
"There are rough edges with his aiming points and hands that lead to penetration and falling off of blocks that will need to get cleaned up," Thorn wrote. "Still, his physical tools, pass protection skills and demeanor signal a year one starter with the runway to become an impact player at tackle or guard."
Membou will now look to use those skills while potentially working across from left tackle Olu Fashanu to protect Fields next fall.
