Matthew Golden Says 'It'd Be a Blessing' to Be Picked By Cowboys in 2025 NFL Draft
Matthew Golden has dreams of suiting up for his home-state team in 2025.
The star wide receiver, who grew up in Houston, said it would be "a blessing" to get drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in this year's NFL Draft.
"I'm from Texas, so I grew up a Houston Texans fan, Dallas Cowboys fan," he said on The Rich Eisen Show. "I watched a lot of them growing up. For that to happen, it'd mean a lot to me, it'd be a blessing for sure."

NFL coach calls CFB transfer players 'clowns'
Not only did Golden grow up in Texas, but he also spent his first two collegiate seasons at Houston before rounding out his career with Texas last season. Now, he has the chance to land on the Cowboy and play for yet another team in his home state.
Golden, who had 987 receiving yards and nine touchdowns last season, has been linked to the Cowboys ahead of the draft. Per The Athletic's Dianna Russini, "many sources around the league expect" Dallas to take an offensive skill position with the No. 12 pick, Golden being one of the names of interest.
If not Dallas, Golden could still end up playing for a Texas team. Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department projects the Houston Texans to select him with the No. 25 pick.
