Todd McShay 2025 Mock Draft: Notable Picks from Expert's Final Week Predictions
The Ringer's Todd McShay didn't spring too many surprises to open his newest 2025 NFL mock draft.
McShay had the Tennessee Titans taking Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the No. 1 overall pick, and Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter went next to the Cleveland Browns. Penn State edge-rusher Abdul Carter, LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell and Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty rounded out the top five.

The most unexpected twist centered on somebody who was omitted from the first round altogether.
Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders slipped all the way to the Browns with the No. 33 pick. McShay called Sanders a "no-go" for New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll, and he had the Pittsburgh Steelers, another plausible landing spot, going with Oregon defensive lineman Derrick Harmon.
Sanders is the No. 23 overall player and second-best QB behind Ward on Bleacher Report's final big board. There's a massive gap between him and Ole Miss' Jaxson Dart, the next-best quarterback, at No. 57.
ESPN's Peter Schrager, who projected Sanders to land with the Steelers, said he "could go anywhere from No. 3 to the Giants to the second round."
Dart leapfrogged Sanders in McShay's mock as the Giants traded back into the first round in order to get a possible long-term solution under center.
"With this move, the Giants could end the first round with arguably this yearโs top prospect in Carter and Dabollโs top choice at QB โ without giving up significant draft capital," the draft guru wrote. "I would love this outcome for all parties involved."
Among the other noteworthy picks in McShay's mock, the Dallas Cowboys found their complement to star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb in Arizona's Tetairoa McMillan. McMillan caught 213 passes for 3,423 yards and 26 touchdowns in three years with the Wildcats. His arrival would take a lot of pressure off Lamb.
McShay had Penn State tight end Tyler Warren going 14th to the Indianapolis Colts. In what could be a pivotal year toward the future of quarterback Anthony Richardson, Warren would be a major upgrade for the passing game.
Michigan cornerback Will Johnson fell to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He's the fifth-best player on B/R's big board, but McShay cited the concerns over his durability after he battled toe and hamstring injuries.
The Bucs struck gold when they selected safety Antoine Winfield Jr. in the second round of the 2020 draft. Johnson falling into their laps could be a case of history repeating itself to some degree.
