Jaxson Dart Reportedly Draws 'Speculative' Links to Rams, Browns amid NFL Draft Rumors

Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart has "speculative connections" to the Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Rams ahead of the 2025 NFL draft, according to ESPN's Dan Graziano.

Dart has also been connected to the New Orleans Saints, Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants, per Graziano and ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

According to Fowler, the Saints "in particular" have done a thorough evaluation of Dart as a prospect.

This buzz led Graziano to write that he doesn't "think it would be a surprise at this point if he were the second quarterback taken" in the upcoming draft, behind Miami's Cam Ward and ahead of Colorado's Shedeur Sanders.

The report follows ESPN's Peter Schrager writing Wednesday that Sanders, the second-ranked quarterback on the latest B/R NFL Draft Big Board, "could go anywhere from No. 3 to the Giants to the second round."

Graziano wrote that there is some possibility that, should a team decide to make Dart the second quarterback off the board, "there could be trade movement in the first round to secure him."

The Browns and Giants could go outside the quarterback position to target a top-ranked prospect like Abdul Carter or Travis Hunter with their respective top-three picks.

Both teams could potentially trade up from the top of the second round— the Browns hold the No. 33 pick, while the Giants are drafting at No. 34— in order to target Dart later on Day 1.

The Saints hold the No. 9 and No. 40 picks. The Steelers have No. 21, while the Rams sit at No. 26.

Dart, who puts 367.2 total yards of offense per game in his senior season for Ole Miss, is ranked as the No. 57 overall prospect on the B/R Big Board. Bleacher Report NFL scout Dame Parson puts his pro comparison as "Carson Wentz with less arm strength."
