Raiders, Jaguars, Patriots 'Most' Top 10 Teams Reportedly Open To 2025 NFL Draft Trade

The majority of teams picking in the top 10 of the 2025 NFL draft are reportedly open to a potential trade.

According to The Athletic's Dianna Russini, "most" teams with top-10 selections--aside from the Tennessee Titans at No. 1 overall--have discussed trading back and are open to more such conversations leading up to the start of the draft on Thursday nights.

Also, the Jacksonville Jaguars at No. 5 and Las Vegas Raiders at No. 6 have reportedly had talks about trading up if a player they have interest in is available.

Albert Breer of The MMQB also reported the New England Patriots are open to a move down, while the Carolina Panthers have been "a little more aggressive than the rest" and are willing to "take a discount" to slide down the draft order.

Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports also detailed the New Orleans Saints' plan to trade back from No. 9:

In recent weeks, Miami quarterback Cam Ward has emerged as the likely No. 1 overall pick to the Titans followed by Colorado wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter and Penn State pass-rusher Abdul Carter in some order.

If the Jags or Raiders trade up, it could be with an eye toward securing Hunter given that neither has a significant need at pass-rusher since Jacksonville boasts Travon Walker and Josh Hines-Allen, while Vegas has Maxx Crosby and Malcolm Koonce.

Per Russini, the Jags want to have an "electric" draft, and they are hoping to secure an offensive player early, although they are also open to trading back.

Hunter would give Jags quarterback Trevor Lawrence another electric weapon in the passing game across from Brian Thomas Jr., and he would perhaps be the Raiders' top wideout ahead of veteran Jakobi Meyers.

Another offensive player potentially on the radar of the Jags and Raiders in a trade-up scenario is Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty.

Running back is unquestionably a bigger need for the Raiders, who ranked last in rushing last season and currently have a running back depth chart comprised of Raheem Mostert, Sincere McCormick and Zamir White.

The Jags have much better talent at running back with Travis Etienne and Tank Bigsby, but they were only 26th in rushing last season, and Etienne averaged just 3.7 yards per carry last season, and he's entering the final year of his contract.

Jeanty was a dominant force last season, rushing for 2,601 yards and 29 touchdowns, and there is arguably no player in the draft capable of making a more immediate impact than him.

Once the likes of Ward, Hunter, Carter and Jeanty are off the board, things get murky regarding who the best available players are.

In that scenario, it would make sense for teams picking in the top 10 to move out, although it is fair to wonder if there will be much interest in trading up after those players are gone.
