Some notable items certainly exist in the top 50 alone.
Colorado two-way superstar Travis Hunter is No. 1 overall, and that's a common refrain on many lists, including the B/R NFL Scouting Department big board. Penn State edge-rusher Abdul Carter is No. 2, and that's another common spot for him. The third spot seems up for debate industry-wide, but Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham, who is frequently found in the top five, gets the nod here.
McShay has six edge-rushers listed in the top 19: Carter, Georgia's Jalon Walker, Texas A&M's Shemar Stewart, Georgia's Mykel Williams, Tennessee's James Pearce Jr. and Marshall's Mike Green. Teams looking for pass-rushing help shouldn't have to look to hard to find it.
Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who was largely considered the QB2 in this class in the pre-draft period, is QB3 here. Instead, Ole Miss' Jaxson Dart is QB2. The only other signal-caller on the list is Louisville's Tyler Shough at No. 44.
Otherwise, McShay is notably high on Penn State tight end Tyler Warren, who is the No. 1 offensive skill-position player on his list and No. 4 overall. That makes sense considering how productive the John Mackey Award winner was for the Nittany Lions (104 catches, 1,233 yards, eight touchdowns).
McShay is lower on some big names than others. Of note, Arizona wideout Tetairoa McMillan is 50th overall and seventh among wideouts. He's notably No. 11 on the NFL Mock Draft Database aggregate big board. No wide receiver made the top 20 of the big board, with Texas' Matthew Golden at No. 22 being the first to appear.
Many of these prospects will be finding their new NFL homes on Thursday, when Round 1 of the draft goes down in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Rounds 2-3 will take place on Friday, and Rounds 4-7 will play out on Saturday.
