Todd McShay Doesn't Expect Browns to Trade Back Up for Shedeur Sanders in 2025 Draft
At this point, most draft analysts seem to believe that the Cleveland Browns will draft Travis Hunter at No. 2 (or potentially Abdul Carter). That has left open the possibility that the team could perhaps look to get back into the first round if a player like Shedeur Sanders falls.
But The Ringer's Todd McShay doesn't see that happening either.
"My information is, I don't think Cleveland is going to trade back up [later in the first round] for Shedeur," he said Tuesday during an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show (1:35 mark). "I don't know that Cleveland's even going to trade back into the first round. I think teams are looking at it and saying, 'Are all of these guys going to fall? Is Jaxson Dart going to be available at No. 33, 34? Is Shedeur going to be available at No. 33, 34?'"

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
At this point, Sanders' draft stock is one of the most hotly debated and biggest uncertainties heading into Thursday.
The B/R NFL Scouting Department projected him to go No. 6 overall to the New Orleans Saints in its latest mock draft (while also predicting that New Orleans would swing a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders to move up to that selection).
ESPN's Field Yates had the Saints taking Sanders in his dual-mock with Mel Kiper Jr. as well, though he had the team staying put and selecting him at No. 9. And The Athletic's Mel Kiper Jr. had Sanders dropping to No. 21, where the Pittsburgh Steelers scooped him up.
There isn't a bigger storyline heading into Thursday than Sanders' draft stock.
