NFL Teams Reportedly Say TreVeyon Henderson Could Be RB2 over Omarion Hampton in Draft
With Ashton Jeanty universally regarded as the top running back in the 2025 NFL draft class, it sounds like there are dissenting opinions on who's the No. 2 player at the position.
During Tuesday's episode of The McShay Show (43:15 mark), draft expert Todd McShay revealed that he's heard that some teams view Ohio State's TreVeyon Henderson as the second-best running back in the draft ahead of North Carolina's Omarion Hampton.
"I'm hearing now from NFL teams, TreVeyon Henderson could be RB2 in this class," McShay said. "I said the last day at the Senior Bowl, I'm getting the sense talking to people in the league that this is a guy that enough teams are trying to already figure out where could he go, that he could wind up in round one."

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
McShay went on to name the Pittsburgh Steelers as a possible landing spot for Henderson, but he noted that they likely would only target him if they trade down from the No. 21 pick. The Washington Commanders, who own the No. 29 pick, were also named as a potential destination for him.
Henderson rushed for 1,016 yards and 10 touchdowns in his senior season with the Buckeyes. However, he's a bit undersized at 5'10" and 208 pounds.
B/R's NFL Scouting Department ranks Henderson as the No. 7 running back on its big board and had the Las Vegas Raiders taking him in the second round of its latest mock draft. If a team selects him in the first round as McShay predicts, it will be taking a major swing in hopes that the speedster develops into a future star in the NFL.
