Lovett is a lean-framed slot receiver with fluid movement patterns. He works best in space as a quick throw and run threat.

Lovett is elusive and shifty in the open field. He makes defenders miss with smooth movements and by reading and cutting against their leverage. He is a threat to take short routes for bigger gains.

Lovett excels as a run-after-catch receiver. He is accustomed to manufactured touches like wide receiver tunnel screens and bubble screens.

Lovett does not fear contact as a playmaker. He makes difficult catches despite contact from the defender. He is fearless attacking the football with full extension. Lovett maintains speed during his routes and stems them to set up breaks in opposite directions.

Drops have been a concern for Lovett. He had nine total over the past two seasons. He needs to become as consistent reeling in passes as possible. NFL quarterbacks will lose confidence if he doesn’t clean up those concentration drops.

Lovett also needs to improve his ability to defeat physical bump-and-run coverage. Strong and nuanced nickel corners can slow down his momentum with well-timed punches.

Overall, Lovett projects as a shifty and quick-moving slot receiver with run-after-catch abilities. Lovett will put pressure on corners to tackle well in space or he will convert missed tackles into yards after the catch/contact. He expects to be an adequate starting slot receiver in the NFL.
