Andrew PetersApr 21, 2025

Livvy Dunne's gymnastics career officially came to an end after LSU came up short in the NCAA semifinal last week.

Now having competed for the last time, Dunne posted a heartfelt thank you video to the sport of gymnastics, also showing love to LSU, her family and her coaches.

"Finishing my career over the past five years at the best university in the world has been an incredible journey and I'm forever grateful," Dunne said. "Gymnastics, you have filled my heart and will always be a part of me. You've shaped me into the person I am today, creating memories and sisterhoods that will last a lifetime beyond the sport. You were my first love."

Dunne had a tremendous career in the sport, competing for the United States national team in junior and senior competitions before joining the Tigers in 2020. As a member of LSU's gymnastics team, Dunne helped lead the Tigers to a national championship last year, a pair of SEC championships and two Four on the Floor appearances.

Her career didn't end the way she hoped, as she was sidelined for LSU's semifinal last week, but she still leaves gymnastics with plenty of accomplishments.
