Travis Hunter Reportedly Wants Roger Goodell to Introduce Him as CB and WR at Draft
Colorado star Travis Hunter has a request of NFL commissioner Roger Goodell when his name is called Thursday during the 2025 NFL draft.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the reigning Heisman Trophy winner wants to be identified as both a wide receiver and cornerback on the draft stage.
This is in keeping with Hunter's desire to remain a two-way player at the next level. He suggested to CBS Sports' Garrett Podell he'd consider walking away from football altogether if a team told him he'd be wideout or defensive back exclusively.

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
"Because I've been doing it my whole life, and I love being on the football field," he said of playing both ways. "I feel like I could dominate on each side of the ball, so I really enjoy doing it."
Officially attaching two positions to Hunter on draft night shouldn't be much of an issue. That was the designation he received at the NFL Scouting Combine after he was initially listed as just a cornerback.
Goodell and the NFL understand what the draft itself represents in a player's career. It signifies a major achievement and serves as a core memory for every prospect, especially those fortunate enough to attend in person.
Being rigid and only referring to Hunter as a cornerback or receiver will look kind of petty.
