NFL Exec Feels Saints are 'Hot and Heavy on Jaxson Dart' amid Shedeur Sanders Rumors
The New Orleans Saints could prefer quarterback Jaxson Dart over Shedeur Sanders with the No. 9 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
"I don't think New Orleans is taking Shedeur," an NFL personnel executive told ESPN's Adam Schefter. "I think they're hot and heavy on Jaxson Dart."
The Saints had "limited attendance" at Colorado's pro day to watch Sanders that didn't include head coach Kellen Moore or offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier, per Schefter.

NFL draft analyst Todd McShay also reported that New Orleans doesn't have interest in the Buffaloes' signal-caller heading into the draft.
"New Orleans is not taking Shedeur at nine," McShay reported on The Todd McShay Show (12:00 mark). "And in fact, New Orleans isn't taking Shedeur probably at 40. I'll say it again. New Orleans probably isn't taking Shedeur at 40 if he was there, okay?"
Dart is coming off a breakout 2024 campaign with Ole Miss, completing 69.3 percent of his passes for 4,279 yards and 29 touchdowns while getting picked off just six times.
His average of 10.75 yards per pass attempt was also the highest in the country.
On the latest big board from Bleacher Report's NFL Scouting Department, Sanders was listed as the No. 2 quarterback in the 2025 draft class while Dart was ranked No. 3.
If both players are still available when the Saints are on the clock Thursday, they're reportedly more interested in Dart compared to Sanders.
