Tyler Shough Reportedly 'in the Mix' if Giants Trade Up as Rams Have 'Love' for QB
Louisville quarterback Tyler Shough is reportedly generating interest from multiple teams as the 2025 NFL draft draws nearer.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported on Sunday's episode of SportsCenter that the New York Giants are eyeing Shough as a potential Day 2 prospect or trade-up candidate. He also named the New Orleans Saints as another team that could be considering him.
"He's getting some buzz here out of Louisville. He worked out for the New York Giants yesterday. So, this is a team, the Giants, that have been looking at their options where if they can't go quarterback at No. 3, they want to try to get one Day 2 or maybe even move up. Shough appears to be in that mix," Fowler said. "The Saints obviously actually like him as well. So, he's quarterback with the size, the arm strength that has intrigued teams."

If that weren't enough, Fowler added that the Los Angeles Rams could target Shough to stash behind veteran starting quarterback Matthew Stafford.
"I also know the Los Angeles Rams have some love for Shough. They like that big, tall pocket-passer, big arm," Fowler said. "This is considered a weak quarterback class, so if you have those things like Shough does, you're probably going to get elevated a little bit."
Shough is ranked as the No. 7 quarterback prospect in the B/R NFL Scouting Department's draft big board. He's much older than a typical draft prospect, as he will turn 26 in September following his seven-year college career.
ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. and Field Yates predicted in their mock draft that the Giants would use their second-round pick to select Shough at No. 34, so the teams that are eyeing him could have to move up for the chance to land him.
