Tyreek Hill Not Being Shopped by Dolphins amid NFL Trade Rumors, Says GM Grier

Julia StumbaughApr 15, 2025

Miami Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said Tuesday his team is not "pursuing" a trade for wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

"Who knows? If someone wants to come and give me two first-round picks, we'll consider it," Grier joked, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Grier confirmed he is discussing trade options for cornerback Jalen Ramsey, per Pelissero, but said no team has called in pursuit of Hill.

Grier additionally told reporters he believed it was "wildly inaccurate to suggest Tyreek Hill and Jalen Ramsey situations represent an in-house red flag problem," per Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post.

"Tyreek is showing his teammates this is where he wants to be," Grier said, per Schad. "He has been great in the building. Things happen with players. You see it around the league. Things happen for various reasons. It's not people trying to get out of here."

Hill said early in the 2024 season he wanted to remain with the Dolphins, but sparked trade rumors when he said in an end-of-season interview that he was "out."

The wide receiver later told reporters those comments were made in "frustration," per ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques.

The Dolphins reworked Hill's deal last summer to set an NFL record for the most guaranteed money added to a contract without also adding additional years.

At the time, Hill had just made 119 catches for an NFL-high 1,799 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns in 16 games.

Despite playing all 17 games last season, Hill didn't come close to reaching those totals again in 2024. Amid injuries to Tua Tagovailoa, he finished the season with 959 receiving yards, his lowest total since his 12-game 2019 season with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Moving on from Hill could be the sign of a team in a rebuilding stage. Grier told reporters that's not where he sees his franchise, and the Dolphins' "goal is to win" in 2025.
